Ben connected with the poetry scene in Alice Springs in 2016 after last writing poetry as a teenager. His poetry is about landscape both inner and outer He tries to tread the sometimes narrow path of the unfolding of poetry wherever it will take him. He is not technically a boomer but his kids still call him one. He currently co-runs the monthly Centre Verse, Desert Voice poetry nights with Glen Hunting.
