An award-winning spoken word artist, his poetry has been published by Best of Australian Poems, Australian Poetry Journal, Cordite, Suburban Review, and Regional Review, among others. Damien won the 2024 Flying Islands Manuscript Prize for his debut collection Thin Reed Throat.

Damien Becker lives and writes on Bundjalung Country in Murwillumbah, Northern NSW. His work draws on a lifetime of chronic illness, living with cystic fibrosis and as a double-lung transplant recipient.
