Darcy Davis (D-Day) has always had a love for playing and experimenting with words. Poetry and hip hop is a passion that has grown in parallel with his love for musical performance and beat-making. Returning to his hometown of Alice Springs in 2019 from studying in America, Darcy has taken an active role in supporting and developing the local music and hip hop scene.
When Junior and Darcy met earlier in 2020 at a jam session in town they bonded through a love of reggae, hip-hop and dancehall music and went on to to perform collaboratively at venues around town. Since then D-Day and Junior have been writing and recording their first Ep at RedHouse Studios in Eastside and are excited to share their debut performance at Red Dirt Poetry Festival.
