David C. Curtis is an Aboriginal writer of bush stories and speculative fiction. One of his first stories, What a Fright, won an award in the NT Literary Awards in 2008, and was runner up in 2010 with I’ll Get My Mate. His story On the Wildman appears in This Country Anytime Anywhere: An Anthology of New Indigenous Writing (IAD Press 2010). He’s a talented writer with half a dozen different projects in progress at present, ranging in themes from the bush to science fiction. Other works have been published digitally, with What Kind Dreaming in Black & Write through the QLD Writers Centre in 2013, and Octavius self-published on Amazon in 2017. David currently has two works in progress that will be self-published on Amazon in the near future.
