Born on Darumbal country, Ghenoa’s skills in adaptability stems from her foundation as a Traditional Torres Strait Islander dancer and musician. Striving to share her fierce cultural values of visibility in the broad western landscape, Ghenoa is persistent to resist being silenced.

As an Independent Artist, Ghenoa also navigates in the capacities of: Director, Movement Director, Performer, Writer, Choreographer, Host, Comedian, Poet, Workshop facilitator and Mentor in remote, regional, and urban communities.
One of Ghenoa’s proud achievements, was successfully touring her new show ‘GURR ERA OP’ to Festivals across the country. The premise of ‘GURR ERA OP’ is to increase awareness of the rising waters in the Torres Straits.
