What stories about becoming a parent did we inherit, and what truths did we discover for ourselves?Join poet Eleanor Jackson and counsellor Hannah Muir for a gentle gathering exploring the realities of matrescence and the journey to parenthood through poetry, reflection and conversation.

Together we’ll make space for the often-unspoken experiences of caregiving: love and grief, tenderness and rage, joy and exhaustion. Through poetry readings, guided writing and a collaborative poem, participants are invited to reflect on the stories they were told about life with babies and small people and how those stories compare to lived experience.

No writing experience is needed, and sharing is always optional.

Come as you are.

Morning tea provided.

Babies and small children welcome!
